What I stand for
As a former Scio Supervisor, I will do my part in working toward a cohesive Board of Trustees (BoT) that always keeps the majority of residents' concerns and needs in mind.
Over the last few years, a group of people have been attending BoT meetings and claiming they represent the majority opinion of the township. Typically, they are there only to complain and become hostile toward people they do not like. However, the Board of Trustees needs to get feedback that will help them make good decisions and create good plans. They need ideas, opinions, and constructive criticism, not harassment. Although it is a daunting task, I will try to find ways to bring out and activate the residents who sincerely want to participate in helping make government better.
I believe that, "The minority must be heard, but the majority must prevail".
